Dayschool Beckenhof is located a quick walk from Zürich Main Station and easily reachable by tram.
Our international team welcomes new families through a well planned settling-in period, following the 'Berliner' model. The focus is not only on getting to know the child but also the family and their values.
To foster a close and trustworthy relationship with parents, we schedule regular parent-teacher conversations. Additionally, we organise events, where parents along with their children and our team, come together to have fun and enjoy themselves.
Although our children are divided into age appropriate groups - Baby group, Toddler group, Preschool and Kindergarten - we occasionally engage in mixed group projects.
Every day we keep ourselves busy by planning an active week covering the various educational areas. In each group, children are taught in German, English and French.
We also collaborate with our extracurricular teachers specialized in the fields of music, rhythm and nature.
During our daily outdoor excursions, you will find us exploring parks or playgrounds around the city. In line with our theme, we might visit the library, Zürich Zoo or even explore a museum!
And did we mention our Sleepovers? They are always unforgettable!

Our Services:
- Day Nursery for children from 3 months old.
- Preschool for children from 3 years old to kindergarten.
- All-day kindergarten with after-school care (after-school care for Dayschool children as well as for external children)
- Full day care from 7.00am until 6.30pm.
- Late Care on request until 8pm (will be charged for separatedly).
Preschool
"Welcome to our preschool, where we believe that children who have fun are active children!"
Our preschool group is for children between 3 and 4 years. The daily program is filled with activities that allow active and enthusiastic children to discover, to explore and to learn. We have an international team that supports and encourages the children in German, English and French. We encourage the children to ask questions and to think creatively. Our program prepares our children academically and socially for Kindergarten through a playful exposure to different areas of education.
What do we do in preschool?
The week is planned around different monthly themes and the activities are based on 6 different areas of education, the same educational areas that the Canton of Zürich regulates in the official Kindergarten curriculum.
Multilingual Kindergarten
While our kindergarten is an integrated part in our daycare, we are able to offer full day and year around care and education, including during school holidays. More information here.
